« INVESTING IN RENEWABLE ENERGY TO PROTECT LIFE AND THE ENVIRONMENT ! »

  • The Fossil fuels, such as oil, natural gas and coal, are non-renewable natural energy resources. The unsustainable use of these resources is damaging our planet in a number of ways, including deforestation, global warming and the loss of biodiversity.
THE CLAMOUR OF THE LAND CONTINUES TO RISE… THE LAND OF CAMEROON CRIES OUT WITH GROANS …

  • In addition to the problem of deforestation, there is the growing problem of soil pollution caused by used oil dumped all over the place in our various living environments, in garages and on popular marketplaces. Only a tiny proportion of these oils are recycled and put back into the circuit.
  • In response to this clamour from the earth, we are continuing our commitment to saving the planet by raising awareness. We are trying to mobilise the use of solar energy in our communities and in our infrastructures (schools and health centres) to reduce electricity costs.
  • Creation and promotion of a refillable cooking tool using waste oil : an innovation in the city of Douala by a young researcher by the name of Mister Jean TANKEU.

He realised that nobody wanted the large quantities of used oil that were being dumped all over the place. So, he started researching ways of recycling or transforming this waste oil. Using pyrolysis (heat treatment), he was able to generate energy, a domestic gas for cooking.

Recycling these used oils into fuel is a gateway to the circular economy.

This innovation gives us hope that this rechargeable cooking tool will be popularised and made accessible to all citizens, and that other initiatives will be taken to stop soil pollution and limit the use of unsustainable resources.

MAY WE WORK TOGETHER FOR A GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY !
