Family of the Incarnation. Reference texts

A path of life according to the Gospel,
enlightened by the mystery of the Incarnation,
in the footsteps on Louis-Marie Baudouin
.

Family, that is to say :
same sap,
roots in common,
same family spirit :
the Spirit of the Incarnate Word.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS FAMILY

  • To bring together all those who wish to go to ‘the school of the Incarnation’ according to their own way of life and the call received.
  • To enrich and support each other mutually. Together, we will be co-responsible for the life of the Family and the vitality of the Charism. We welcome each other as equals, respecting our different vocations : religious, laity, priests) …
  • To express in today’s language, the common treasure which is the spirituality of the Incarnation, according to Louis-Marie Baudouin and his disciples. To pass on this gift received, so that it will develop in different places and cultures.
  • Live more fully our vocation as women and men, and our Christian mission at the heart of the world.

A conviction … and a responsibility for all : The Family of the Incarnation will be born and live on, more from the lived experience where we are and from the people with whom we share mission, than from structures.

To enter into a specific way of prayer : ‘Exercise of the Incarnation’, ‘Act of union to Jesus and to Mary Immaculate’, ‘Confession to the Incarnate Word’.

Share, in the spirit of the « meeting of the sisters/brothers. »

TO ADVANCE IN EVERYDAY LIFE

Give a rightful place to the dignity of the human person. See in each person, beginning with those who are closest to us, the image of God.

To be attentive to the ‘seeds of the Word mysteriously hidden in every human experience’. To allow oneself to be drawn towards this reflection …

Contemplate and adore the Incarnate Word, and, by Him and with Him, turn to the Father in thanksgiving.

Welcome Mary, as mother and as an example for life, she, who leads us to Jesus and through Jesus to the Father…

Share actively in the life of the Church.

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LIFE OF THE FAMILY

- To be a member of a group of the Family of the Incarnation or, after adherence to the Family, to be in contact with one of its members or one of the groups.

  • To share, among groups in the Family, our way of expressing the Charism, so that it can be better lived and offered to those around us.

  • Participate in the life of the family : Feasts, various events (Chapters, assemblies, occasional meetings between communities and persons …) If possible, to live a celebration of the 25th March in communion with all the Family.

  • Possibility of working together to the point of a definite involvement in a place of Mission, or to respond to an urgency.
