We live as sisters in community and respond to the needs of our society by being the presence of Jesus, Missionary of the Father. We announce God’s love and compassion in the midst of our world, witnessing to the attitudes of Jesus, Word made flesh today.

Where are we ?

This is a little snapshot of the Region of Canada. We have been in Canada since 1911. In the early years we were in both the west and east of Canada but after a short time the Ursuline insertions all moved to the west, in Alberta and British Columbia.

What do we do ?

At the present time we are nine sisters living and in ministry in Edmonton. We are involved in Parish ministry – one Sister is with in a large Spanish speaking parish with many countries represented. The parish provides a welcome for immigrants and refugees and offers support and assistance in many ways. The same sister is a hospital chaplain at the University Hospital.

In the Edmonton Archdiocese we are living a process of transformation entitled “Nothing More Beautiful” rooted in the words of Pope Benedict XVI. The prayer for this venture is prayed throughout the Archdiocese as part of this conversion process.
